DESYDESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science,particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics.

The brillant synchroton source PETRA III as well as the intense free-electronlaser FLASH and our inhouse research groups at DESY CFEL offer a broadrange of research opportunities, ranging from life science to the study offundamental physical processes in various areas. DESY offers several careeropportunities also in the enabling technologies like detector or laser physicsand development.

The positionFellows are invited to take an active role in one of the experimental or theore-tical areas of research at DESYs Photon Science.• Condensed matter physics• Atoms, Molecules and Optics• Laser physics• Detector development• Structural Chemistry• Structural Biology

Requirements• Ph.D. completed within the last 4 years• Experience in experimental or theoretical science in one of the areas of

the DESY photon science division

DESY-Fellowships are awarded for a duration of 2 years with the possibility of prolongation by one additional year.
