In 2011, Verizon and USA Football teamed up to help create a positive experience for the participants at four (4) NFL FLAG powered by USA Football Regional Championship Tournaments across the nation. Verizon delivered key messaging to more than 3,000 NFL FLAG powered by USA Football athletes, coaches and parents across the four (4) Regional Tournaments. The four (4) Verizon sponsored NFL FLAG powered by USA Football Regional Tournaments took place at the following locations: -Northeast Regional Tournament – New Canaan, CT -Oakland Raiders Regional Tournament – Alameda, CA -New Orleans Saints Regional Tournament – Metairie, LA -Houston Texans Regional Tournament – Houston, TX Verizon leveraged its current NFL team relationships at professional practice facilities and local venues that were host sites of each NFL FLAG powered by USA Football Tournament. Verizon utilized NFL FLAG events to promote its mobile products, feature contests and giveaways and bring former NFL players to sign autographs for all event attendees.
