Roy is a man of simple tastes. Just sit him front of the telly with a minute steak and VB (or three) and you won’t find a happier man. Except maybe if he wins big at the dogs, in which case he’s already picked out

the new telly he’d buy. 42 inch. Flat screen. Beautiful. Roy’s lived alone for most of his life, so his health isn’t

as good as it should be for a 70-year old man. His back’s been playing up and his knees are always giving

him trouble. His days are usually spent between the doctor’s office waiting room, Centrelink line and his

local RSL. Luckily everything Roy needs is within walking distance anyway. But it’s a real treat when his

daughter visits, although he wishes it was more often!
