ThisguidewillwalkyouthroughtheprocessofconfiguringconversiontrackingcampaignsforMillennialMediainAppsFlyer’sdashboard.PostingconversionstoMillennialMediawillallowustooptimizeyourcampaignandblockuserswhohavealreadyconvertedfrombeingservedadditionalads,increasingtheeffectivenessofyouradvertisingwithus.

ThisguideassumesyouhavealreadyaddedyourapptotheAppsFlyersystemandimplementedtheAppsFlyerSDK.

Pleasenote:MillennialMediaoperatestwoindividualplatforms(mMediaandmmDSP)andit’simportanttounderstandwhichoneyourcampaignwillberunningoninordertoconfiguretheclickURLscorrectly.Ifyoudonotknowwhatplatformyourcampaignwillberunningon,yourAccountRepresentativewillbehappytoassistyou.

Step1SelectMillennialMediaastheintegratedmediasource.ClickonMediaSourceConfigurationtoopenupthelistofintegratedmediasourcepartners.

Typethe“MillennialMedia”intothefilterboxtofindtheMillennialMediaintegrations.OnceyouseeMillennialMedia-mmDSPandMillennialMedia–mMediaasoptions,clickthelinktobetakentotheconfigurationscreen.

Step2SetMillennialMediaintegrationparameters.YouwillusethefieldsontheAppsFlyerconfigurationpagetoinputtheinformationgiventoyoubyyourMillennialMediaAccountRepresentative.TheintegrationparameterswillbedifferentformMediaandmmDSP.Pleaseseebelowfordetailsonwhatvaluesyouneedtoinputintothesefields:

mMedia:MillennialMedia’sdirectpublishernetworkwhichprimarilyutilizestheMillennialSDKaswellasdirectrelationshipappandmobile

webinventory.IfyouarerunningonmMedia,yourAccountRepresentativewillprovideyouwitha5-digitnumericalidentifiercalledaGoalID.InputtheGoalIDvalueintotheGoalIDfieldandhitthe“save”button.


mmDSP: MillennialMedia’sDSPincludestrafficfrommanydifferentexchangesaroundtheworld.IfyouarerunningonmmDSP,youwillbeprovidedanEventNameandanEventID.AnEventIDisa4-digitnumericalidentifier.InputtheEventIDintheproperfield.

SecondaryorPost-InstallEvents:Ifyouarerunningacampaignthatincludespost-installorsecondaryevents,makesuretoinputthesecondaryGoalIDsandEventIDsonthe“inappevents”tabforbothmMediaandmmDSP.YouwillneedtoselecttheSDKeventassociatedwiththesecondaryGoalIDorEventIDfromthedropdownmenu,andthenwillneedtoinputthevalueintothe“EventTag”field.

Step3Generatetrackinglinksforyourcampaign:Addthecampaignnametothe“Campaign”field.Afterwards,copythelink(s)andsendthemtoyourMillennialMediaaccountrepresentative.


WrappingUpOnceyouhaveconfiguredyourclickURLsinAppsFlyer’sdashboard,makesuretoprovidethemtoyourMillennialAccountRepresentative,whowillhavethemtraffickedasyourcampaign’sclickURLs.
