Objective: Maintain programs and continue initiatives while remaining
within the district tax levy cap.
DISTRICT OFFERINGS AND INITIATIVES
• Universal Full Day and Half Day Pre-Kindergarten Program
• Full Day Kindergarten Program
• Math Literacy, Music and Art at Kindergarten level
• Focus on K-5 Literacy through Reallocation of Supplemental Educational
Services Program
• All Grade 5 students receive 1:1 Chromebooks for use throughout their school
career
• Effective fall of 2019, all Grades 8 students will receive 1:1 Chromebooks for use
throughout their school career
• Research curriculum built to transition our students from elementary school to
high school research skills
• Participation in National History Day as an extension of the middle school
research experience
• Capstone Projects (Grades 5, 8, 12)
• Expansion of Advanced Placement offerings
• Expansion of high school electives to include Health 2
• Research curriculum built to transition our students from elementary school
to high school research skills
• Capstone Projects (Grades 5, 8, 12)
• Middle School Research for Grade 8 students offered as a strand of the
Living Environment Lab experience or a semester research experience
• Living Environment and Algebra include the majority of all grade 8 students
• Extended math periods for all students Grade 6-8 and in Regents Geometry
• Three years of high school science now required for graduation
