metropolitan area.
With a population of approximately 150,000 residents in 2018, the City is a
thriving hub of economic growth, consisting of some of the fastest growing
suburbs in Western Australia, which include Ellenbrook, The Vines, Aveley and
the Urban Growth Corridor suburbs of Brabham, Dayton and Caversham. City
of Swan are a major growth area for the North East Metropolitan region which
encompasses the Shire of Mundaring and City of Kalamunda. By 2050, they are
expected to accommodate for over 60 per cent of the population for this region.
Their major tourist attractions - including the magnificent Swan Valley and
significant Aboriginal and European heritage sites - bring millions of local,
national and international tourists every year.
Midland Town Centre is a major strategic centre for the City of Swan and
surrounds. Midland is expected to cater for a further 6,900 infill dwellings to meet
the Perth and Peel @ 3.5 million targets. As such a significant area for future
growth, the City is focussed on investing in Midland, enhancing its role as a
strategic centre and as a great place to live, work and play. City of Swan has
