Introduction
MatrikonOPC Tunneller is an OPC Application that converts a DCOM connection between 2 different
computers and converts it into a TCP/IP stream, to facilitate a connection between a remote client
and a remote server.
Due to the nature of the Tunneller software, there are 2 different setups that will need to be taken
into account. One is the Client-Side configuration, and the second is the Server-Side configuration.
This guide will discuss in detail how to configure both sides of the Tunneller connection so that a
link to a DeltaV Operating system can be established.
Please note that the Username and Password DeltaVAdmin are old
DeltaV defaults. Please substitute as necessary for your system. Also
note that this user name and password are the user name and
password are what are commonly used to log into the DeltaV
computer with.
Please note also that these configuration steps are intended for Windows XP and Windows
2003, with any service packs.
