1) the environmental certification of a model territory, 2) recovery of abandoned areas due to elimination of borders;
Region of Piedmont/Italy: two pilot cases on 1) renovation of old traditional hamlets to sustain tourism and agricultural-breeding activities, 2) refurbishment of traditional buildings based on an innovative assessment tool whose acronym is AEBAT;

shared programmes for the rehabilitation of urban centres;

Municipality of Grainau/Germany: one pilot case on carrying out an integrated action plan aimed at improving the overall image of the village by modifying many different aspects of the urban environment thus leading to, in particular, better traffic routes, renewal of the town centre, creation of a new business site for artisans to be based in the village.
