Please propose activities planned for FY 15 that support the University’s strategic goals listed below
1. Advance student success and developmenta. Activity 1: Monitor and support effective student use of Blackboard and other
eLearning software in collaboration with: EmbanetCompass, Healey Library, Office of Communications, Student Services, and other units
b. Activity 2: Expand opportunities for blended and mobile learning in selected areas of the curriculum
2. Enrich and expand academic programs and research
a. Activity 1: Provide tips and information regarding the latest trends in eLearning in higher education through events, website, blog, Twitter, and iTunesU
b. Activity 2: Present at professional conferences on eLearning projects at UMass Boston
3. Improve the learning, teaching, and working environment
a. Activity 1: Investigate and pilot educational technologies that take advantage of flexible delivery. Examples: flipped classroom with classroom capture, blended learning using Blackboard Collaborate, Fuze Meeting, Open Courses, and mobile technologies.

b. Activity 2: Continue to focus attention on the work of Ed Tech Liaisons whose goal is to partner with departments in the delivery of educational technology solutions.
4. Establish a financial resources model consistent with the university’s vision statement

a. Activity 1: Invest in people. Examples: continue to fund graduate assistantships as contributing lines of work and career preparation; Conference Travel Support for professional staff; team building; others as needed.
b. Activity 2: Invest in physical resources. Examples: furniture and equipment for the DLS; Saas tools for project tracking (Asana.com) and client support (JitBit.com); other as needed.
