Introduction of Programme and Participants
BACKGROUND
• Suggested by the 2nd High Officials Meeting on SEA-TVET in 2016 to expand the collaboration beyond Southeast Asian region
• Collaboration establlished through Asian-China Centre (PR China) and local provincial governments with SEAMEO since 2013
• Over 5 SEAMEO-China to strengthen collaborations between colleges in SEA and China were conducted with over 60 agreements were signed since 2015
SEAMEO-China TVET Cultural Twinning Programme
• Objectives – Establish long-term collaboration between Southeast Asian
region and China; – Develop long- term partnership between SEA and Chinese
colleges – Provide capacity development for TVET Leaders, Teachers and
Students through teacher exchange, student exchange, and inter-cultural understanding classroom activities, dual programme; and
– Develop a group of model schools or best practices for cross-country partnership development.
