CourseInformationandInstructor’sExpectationsCourseDescription:Thisclassisanintroductiontosketchingandmarkerrenderingforcommunicationofconceptualproductdesign.Therearenopre-requisitesandyoudonotneedtoknowhowtodrawtotakethisclass.Emphasisisplacedonfree-hand2-pointperspective.Eachweekduringlecture,studentslearnadifferenttoolsetandapplyittobi-weeklydrawingassignments.Lecturenotesandassignmentdetailswillbepostedonlinehere:http://product.design.umn.edu/courses/pdes3702/index.htmlCoursePrerequisites:NoneEstablishedCourseObjectives:Bytheendofthesemester,studentswill:

1unexcusedabsenceduringthesemesterisallowed.Eachadditionalunexcusedabsencewillresultina5pointdeductionfromClassparticipationpoints.Tardinesswillaffectyourclassparticipationgrade.

GradingStructure:Thereare6assignments.Thefirst5assignmentsaregradedoutof10points.The6thassignmentisgradedoutof20points.Mostassignmentsaretobesubmittedon1sheetofpaper.Classparticipationgradesarebasedonbothattendanceandqualityofin-classactivity.
