Problem & Proposed Solution• Finding parking in a congested area
can often be a major problem:• Stress & Frustration• Waste of gasoline & production of

Contextual InquiryContribution to design:
• Parking plan is often based on guessing
• Previous parking decisions in a particular area greatly influence future decisions.
• Preferences for parking varies by individual.

Experience Sampling Method
Contribution to design:• Customers can find parking

• Parking concerns (availability, location safety, etc.) arise for more foreign locations.

What it does:• Functionality based around three primary tasks, as mentioned before.
• Some other functionality also included, such as map display modes, ‘Find Car’ option, etc.
How it works:• Created with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver with Image
Mapping.
• Executed through any standard web browser.
What is missing:• Panning and zooming capabilities for interactive map.
• Current location, destination, and search criteria are fixed values.
• Database of actual garage information, availability, etc (backend)
