The Romulus Chamber of Commerce
teamed up with the Romulus Goodfellows
and collected new toys at their annual
Holiday Party.
Dozens of toys for children were over-
flowing from the collection box. Bill Kren,
Executive Director and Chuck Zuerner,
Board of Director of the Chamber (L to R)
were on hand on December 12th to pre-
sent the assortment of toys to the Romulus
Goodfellows, represented by Mayor
LeRoy Burcroff and Linda MacNeil, Romu-
lus Goodfellows Trustee.
Along with the toy collection, the Chamber
was collecting non-perishable food dona-
tions for local charities. This special collec-
tion box was also overflowing at the Holi-
day Party! The many items were deliv-
ered to Helping Hand Thrift Shop and
Community United Methodist Church in
Romulus.

The Romulus facility includes a
Taiwan Book Store that pro-
vides Chinese books, maga-
zines, newspapers and other
publications for the local Chi-
nese community.

the newest mem-
ber of the Romulus Chamber
of Commerce.
AFS was founded in 1997 in
Taiwan as a professional
forging parts supplier. They
not only provide forgings, but
castings, stampings, and fin-
ished products like CV axles,
fasteners, and wheels.

On December 4th, members of the Chamber
of Commerce joined Mayor Burcroff and
other city dignitaries in celebrating the grand
opening of the Romulus’ new Taco Bell, locat-
ed at 9920 W. Wayne Road, next to Romu-
lus High School

Public Service Credit Union Awards Local Charity with $500.00
During the holiday season,
PSCU decided to support
a local charity. They cre-
ated a contest on their
facebook page and se-
lected four organizations
(Romulus Goodfellows,
C.H.A.I.N.E.D., Judson
Center & Focus: HOPE)
then asked people to vote
for their favorite charity
and help support the won-
derful work they do. The
contest ran from Novem-
ber 5th through November
19th.
There were almost 500
votes received in the char-
itable giveaway contest,
awesome participation
from everyone! The or-
ganization with the most
votes and the winner of
the contest and $500.00
was C.H.A.I.N.E.D Inc.
C.H.A.I.N.E.D Inc. mission
is to enhance the lives of
24/7 chained/outside
dogs, providing life en-
hancing supplies & ser-
vices, including safe

night for all.

As the 2013 Holiday
Part was winding down
and guests were leaving,
one Chamber Member
shook hands with the Ex-
ecutive Director and ex-
claimed “This is one of
the best parties ever put
on by the Chamber!”

appreciated. And as they say,
a picture is worth a thousand
words. Here are a few snap-
shots from the December 5th
Holiday Celebration at the
Romulus Athletic Center. It real-
ly was a great party!
Over 200 guests, 16 food ven-
fenced yards, insulated dog
houses, spay/neuter assistance,
vaccines, flea/tick prevention,
heartworm prevention, food
assistance, treats, toys, love &
most importantly...owner edu-
cation. Correcting the problem
where it originates decreases
the number of homeless & ne-
glected animals. Every dog is
worth saving & this is our way
of saving them!
PSCU is headquartered in Romulus, Michigan serving
members for fifty-six years.

Jackie Davis State Farm Insurance Joins the Chamber
Jack Demmer Automotive Group employees participated in a
basket raffle fundraiser for the Starfish Family Services. They
raised over $22,800 for the Starfish Foundation. Jim Demmer
and employees presented the check to Sheila Buchman, Annual
giving Coordinator for Starfish Family Services.
Starfish Family Services is a leading provider of early childhood
development and parenting programs, children's mental health
services, after school programs and an emergency shelter for
teens and youth in crisis.
Jackie Davis, State Farm Agent in
Belleville, Michigan recently joined
the Greater Romulus Chamber of
Commerce Family.
Jackie is a graduate of Central Mich-
igan University. She serves on the
Boys and Girls Club Advisory Council
and lists as her achievements: ATS
Agent, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
and Jack & Jill of America Associate.
