Museum Foundation

In 1956 this museum was founded by Maritza Uribe de Urdinola and moved to another place in 1962.

The museum “la tertulia” was an old house built with wood located in 5th North Street number: 4-10 in the old Cali city.

Museum Importance

The museum: “La tertulia” is an urban symbol, is only in Cali city with 300 artworks made by national and international Artists. Also this museum provides different services.

You can find sculptures, pictures and a scale replica of famous invents and pictures of a pronounced artist and inventors. For example:

• La Monalissa-exact replica of the artwork of Leonardo Da Vinci.

• Last Supper-exact replica of the artwork of Leonardo Da Vinci.

• The first bulb-Invent of Thomas Alba Edison.

Museum’s Services

Also provides the service of headquarter for new exhibitions because the last year the human anatomy museum Bodies was in the museum “La tertulia” installations. This museum shows all human body in very exact sculptures.

The museum: ”La Tertulia” is located at right side of the Cali river. If you stay in the “Liceo de la Amistad” only you have to take the 4th avenue and go to “Maria Mulata” monument. When you arrived there take the 70 street and in the next curve you have to turn left and continue for this way, when you look a totally square structure with a source in a park you have to stop because you have arrived to museum: “La tertulia”
