The intelligent MD110 functions as a high-capacity digital voice-data PBX,
carry ing digita l voice, dat a, an d video tra nsparent ly throughout the same
netw orked syst em. The netw ork can consist of on-premise ha rd-wired,
w ireless nodes, or wide a rea netw orked links. The MD110 opera tes in a
coherent single system mode and offers customizable capabilities.
The NT-ba sed MD110 allows fu ll comput er telephony inter netw orking w ith
computer-supported t elephony syst ems. The MD 110 cont a ins L IMs (Line
Int erface Modules) tha t can be distributed throughout a site, an d is ma na gedfrom a t erminal using t he MD110 proprieta ry int erface.
Er icssons SNMP Agent serves as a n interfa ce between the MD110 an d a TCP /
IP LAN. This a gent populates t he agent mib by int errogating t he MD110 over
th e proprieta ry int erfa ce. Connection to the TCP /IP netw ork ca n exist via
Et hernet , V.24, or Token R ing. The S NMP Agent can exist a s a sta nd-a lone
