Learning outcomes ● Learn about how eating disorders are manifested in young

people and how to access and screen younger patients within general practice settings

● Be aware of, and understand, the various evidence-based early intervention and treatment strategies for patients who are experiencing eating disorders

● Understand and apply the medical monitoring required to manage people with eating disorders

● Learn about the emergED program including referral pathways and treatment protocols

This education session will provide attendees with information on the assessment and screening process for young people with eating disorders. The presenters will also discuss early intervention strategies and treatment options, medical monitoring and referral pathways.
