2. Double Page SpreadAnalysis By using the medium length shot of the artist, I wanted to give the impression that the article is solely about the artist Venus Stone. The use of the female putting herself into a triangle puts emphasis on her face, reinforcing that the article is solely about her. The ideology behind this is that, as the article is about her split from her band, it shows that she is going solo without her band. This allows the audience to relate to her as she is on her own, like many of my target audience she has gained confidence to succeed. The use of the large dominant Venus Stone red masthead, gives connotations of power, control and rebellion relating it back to the fact this is a modern rock magazine. 3. Double Page SpreadAnalysis As the model is wearing a black leather jacket and American flag shorts, it gives connotations of rebellion by the use of the leather jacket and a free spirit with the use of the American flag shorts. Many of the target audience would appeal to what the model is wearing as the clothing is what a lot of my target audience would wear. This also shows that the artist is a normal person and that the audience can relate to her. No institution is used on the double page spread which reinforces the idea that the double page spread is solely for the artist and nobody else. This also shows that the artist must be successful as nobody is promoting her further on the double page spread. The target audience for my particular article would be for modern rock fans or anyone who enjoys Venus Stones music. The representation of my article is the same throughout my magazine as I have wanted to appeal to the same audience that have read the front cover, helping me to keep within this particular style of magazine. In my article, it is focusing on the artists determination to succeed on her own without her former band, so I have represented her in this way to show that the article is about her and her determination rather the failings.
