1 Description
Safety-related automation devices with PROFINET
interface require a certified safety layer. PROFIsafe is thecommunication profile for functional safety applications
based on PROFINET. PROFIsafe can be used in safety-
related applications up to SIL 3/SIL CL 3 according to
IEC 61508/IEC 62061, safety category 4 or PL e according
to ISO 13849-1.
Phoenix Contact provides the PROFIsafe F-Host/F-Device
layer as ANSI C source code. The source code is certified
and protected against manipulation using a CRC check-
sum.
