FAITH
Why should we cringe when the thunder rolls
And lightning streaks the sky?
Do we not have faith in God,
Knowing in all perils He is nigh?
If His voice is heard in the gentle breeze,
In the murmur of the rill,
Remember it was to an angry sea
That the Master said, “Be still.”
Lord, give us faith to trust in Thee
In sunshine and in rain;
Thankful to Thee for vigorous health;
Leaning on Thee when in pain.
Increase our faith in Thee, dear Lord,
Whether on sea or land,
For with Thy help we cannot fall,
Held in the hollow of Thy hand.
