Is a
Cil Dance
Friday, November 11thMeet at Trinity Front Gate at 7:15
Cil Dancing is a traditional social dance in Ireland. Couples dance in the roundor in hedges, pairs of facing lines. Dances at a cil are called by a leader, but
just to remind dancers of figures as each dance is defined by its name (ie. Siegeof Ennis is the same everywhere), since the Gaelic League codified the dances
in the early 20th century. Luckily for our students well be heading to a cil classfor beginners, complete with a very experienced teacher.
It will be a great night of craic agus ceol, please sign up at Claires desk.
Cost is 9.00 at the door and 2.30 bus fare each way.Meet at Trinity Gate for us to take the bus together!
