It took Sridevi 15 years to make herBollywood comeback with directorGauri Shinde�s English Vinglish(2012). After the film, fans expected tosee the actor more frequently on the sil-ver screen. But that didn�t happen.Now, three years later, she will be seenin a Tamil film with actor Vijay. �It tookme 15 years to choose English Vinglish.At least this film hasn�t taken that long(laughs),� she says. Here, she tells uswhy she prefers doing limited work, asshe also clears the air about her daugh-ter, Jhanvi Kapoor�s acting debut. Why don�t we see you on the bigscreen more often?I don�t believe in doing one film everyyear. I am in no hurry to sign moremovies. The project should really exciteme. Also, I am doing a Tamil film afteralmost 30 years.Are the rumours about your daugh-ter�s acting debut true?Which child is not interested in acting?Every child wants to be an actor. Andthere is nothing wrong with that. But itis not an easy job. It requires a lot ofhard work and dedication. If they areready to put in that effort, then why not? Will you help Jhanvi plan her actingcareer?I don�t believe in planning. I neverplanned my career. Neither me, nor my
parents, ever thought that I wouldbecome an actor. It just happened.You have been acting since 1976 (shemade her debut at the age of 13 witha Tamil film). How have these filmindustries changed since you firststarted? There are a lot of changes technically;[there is] amazing improvement, andevery department has different heads.Earlier, there were no monitors. ADs
(Assistant Directors) would sketch thescenes for continuity, to mark where thehand or the dupatta was [for the next day�sshoot]. Back then, we would changeclothes behind trees, while people wouldhold bed sheets around us. Makers wouldhave to request villagers to lend us theirrooms. Now, we have vanity vans. Evenstories have evolved today; we have manyheroine-oriented films, which people arecoming to watch.

Actor Priyanka Chopra and singer-actor Monica Dogra havebeen won nominations at the Europe Music Awards 2015under the best India act category, a sub category of world-wide act. Priyanka, 33, and 32-year-old Monica have beennominated by VH1 channel along with other three Indianartists including Indus Creed, Your Chin and The SkaVengers.The winner of the sub-category will then compete with thewinners from regions across the globe to become one of thesix worldwide act winners.The final six winners will beannounced on the Europe Music Awards Show, to be aired onVH1 on October 25, 2015. Priyanka entered the globalsinging market with her first ever single In My City in 2012.It was followed by her second number, Exotic featuringAmerican rapper Pitbull. The actor has also lent her voice fora music video of John Lennon's Imagine.
