Perseverance – The Key to AchievementBy Patty Homo
Daisy Camargo is a Santa Ana resident, a Valley High School graduate and is currently attending California State University, Fullerton, where she is majoring in Human Services. She volunteers as an intern for Olive Crest, a non-profit organization in Santa Ana dedicated to preventing child abuse, to treating and educating at-risk children and to preserving the family. Daisy’s ultimate goal is to transfer to California State University, Long Beach to obtain a Masters degree in social work. She wants to be a great role model for her family, particularly her four sisters. “I want them to see that we can achieve anything we want through our perseverance,” says Daisy. She adds, “My parents have taught me to persevere and to be a hard working woman. As a family we have faced many obstacles in life, but we are even stronger and united than ever.”
