Where did CoinStar come from?
The CoinStar machine was the brain child of Jen Molbak. He created the CoinStar machine when he was in college after noticing his jar of change was overflowing… Why count them by hand if a machine can do it for you
When did it start?
CoinStar was officially founded in 1991.
How have we expanded since 1991?
Each year, the company’s self-service coin-counting kiosks process about 50 billion coins—creating more than $3 billion in spendable cash. This figure continues to grow helping us to give opportunities to over ideas like Redbox,Rubi Ect.
Where are we located?
We have machines in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Ireland and the UK.
