Introduction
IntroductionThe Cisco ATA 190 Analog Telephone Adapter is a low-density analog telephone adapter that connects analog devices like faxes, modems, and analog phones to an IP network. The ATA 190 supports two voice ports, each with its own independent telephone number. It has one RJ45 port that provides access to an Ethernet network.

Installing Cisco Unified Communications ManagerBefore using the Cisco Analog Telephone Adapter with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.5, 8.6, 9.0, 10.0, or higher you must install the latest firmware on all Cisco Unified Communications Manager servers in the cluster.
Note Install the QED file of the ATA 190 on Cisco Unified Communications Manager before installing the BIN file of the ATA 190.

Caveats
To download and install the Cisco Unified Communications Manager version, follow these steps:
Procedure
Step 1 Go to the following URL:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/index.html
Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download Software page.
Step 3 Click + and choose the IP Telephony folder.
Step 4 Choose Call Control > Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager).
Step 5 Choose your Cisco Unified Communications Manager version.
Installing Firmware ReleaseTo download and install the ATA 190 firmware, follow these steps:
Procedure
Step 1 Go to the following URL:

Step 2 Log in to the Tools and Resources Download Software page.
Step 3 Click + and choose the IP Telephony folder.
Step 4 Choose IP Phones > Cisco ATA 190 Series Analog Telephone Adapters > Cisco ATA 190 Analog Telephone Adapter.
Step 5 Choose 1.1.0(006) under the Latest Releases folder.
Step 6 To download the SIP firmware for the ATA 190, click the Download Now or Add to cart button and follow the prompts:

Note Add both the firmware files to the cart. When you are ready to download the file, click the Download Cart link.

Caveats
Using Bug ToolkitKnown problems (bugs) are graded according to severity level. These release notes contain descriptions of:
• All severity level 1 or 2 bugs.
• Significant severity level 3 bugs.
You can search for problems by using the Cisco Software Bug Toolkit.
To access Bug Toolkit, you need the following items:
• Internet connection
• Web browser
• Cisco.com user ID and password
To use the Software Bug Toolkit, follow these steps:
Procedure
Step 1 To access the Bug Toolkit, go to http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/action.do?hdnAction=searchBugs.
Step 2 Log on with your Cisco.com user ID and password.
Step 3 To look for information about a specific problem, enter the bug ID number in the “Search for bug ID” field, then click Go.

Workaround Use DHCP or keep one valid TFTP server.

Workaround Set one valid TFTP server or keep it empty.
CSCuj09108 Making call using modem is not supported.
CSCum25583 Factory reset takes a long duration to take effect.
CSCum29649 No audio while having conference via TLS.
CSCuj78958 Registering on SRST causes one-way audio while performing attendant transfer.
CSCum26140 Setting two lines on a shared line, causes call failure for the second line.
