Understanding of numberPositive numbers, including fractions and decimals. Place value.Positive integral powers and square roots. Factors and multiples.Four Rules (Operations)The 4 rules applied to positive integers, fractions and decimals.Conversion from fractions to decimals and from decimals to fractions.

Understanding and use of simple percentages. Percentages as fractions and decimals.

RatioRatio itt the form a:b, including scales. Ratio as a percentage or fraction.Division in a given ratio.AccuracyOrder of magnitude. Estimates. Approximations. Decimal places. Significant figures.
