Simon Gray – Managing Director (Melbourne)
Simon Gray is Managing Director of Acrobatt Marketing and Communications.
Simon has over 20 years of hands on experience in the sports marketing field. Having studied
economics, physical education and sports marketing, he offers a unique mix of practical skills,
business acumen and marketing expertise.
As a Special Event Manager with Advantage International (now Octagon), Simon was introduced to the
world of sports marketing and management. After completing one year of post graduate study, Simon
joined American sports giant, Major League Baseball. Initially responsible for MLB’s game
development activities in Australasia, Simon was later appointed Associate Director - Australia and
implemented strategies in television, special events, marketing and licensing.
Beginning work on the agency side in September 2000, Simon founded Frontrow Sports and
Entertainment, which was merged with Acrobatt Marketing and Communications in 2005.
Simon has extensive industry experience across a multitude of sports properties such as Bicycle
Victoria’s – Around the Bay in a Day, Players Own Legends of Cricket Tour, Milo Junior Triathlon Series,
Mobil 1 Racing - Peter Brock and the Hishiki Ladies Queensland Golf Open and has provided
sponsorship expertise (development, management and leveraging of the sponsorship portfolios) to
leading corporate brands such as Jetstar, Mazda, Optus and Panasonic.
Simon is married, with 2 young children and resides in Mount Eliza, Victoria
