WHO?
MARK BOWLINGDirector and founder of Guidance, Mark has over 15 years experience in the advertising and communications sector both locally and in the United Kingdom. Mark is a media specialist, digital advocate and business development consultant. An entrepreneur at heart, Mark acts as advisor and mentor to a range of new business start-ups, especially in the online sector.
Mark operates as lead consultant and strategist for our client base.

A fresh start up that is already making waves in the Gen Y pool, Snapstar is a smart, modern example of digital publishing that is platform agnostic and connects the interests of multiple bodies within the entertainment industry. In just 9 months since hard launch the site has already jumped the Tasman to Australia with much wider, global expansion not far behind. Guidance has been involved as a key partner with Snapstar all the way through from inception and initial business planning through to market rollout, commercialisation and more.

Initial business plan development including funding strategy and assistance prospecting first round investment
Designing the commercial model from the ground up
Engineering the brand/ advertising offering, creation of a holistic system that connects the dots between sponsorship, events, content development, the snapstar website and social media channels

A recent partnership – 1-day.co.nz is the countries largest E-Commerce site (and the 5 largest site in the country full stop) with over 1,200,000 users accessing every month. Guidance was appointed by 1-day to overhaul their brand/ sales offering and help improve their current email system
Specific services provided have included:
Migration of advertising system + infrastructure from existing third party sales agency to an in-house offering. Result = 100%+ improvement in advertising revenues within a five month window
Development of a segmentation strategy, allowing richer use of existing 350,000 consumer email database
Ongoing work with key partnership/ affiliate arrangements

DIGITAL PROJECTS
AllTeams is a foundation client of Guidance’s. We were brought on board to help move the AllTeams project from conceptual phase all the way through to development and beyond. Designed as a proprietary social network built around hierachical organisations the initial roll-out has focused on club sports in NZ. We have also successfully sold the platform in to the department of Culture, Media and Sport in the United Kingdom with a view to pushing the platform out across a potential pool of 20,000 schools as their centralised sports management system.
