An Introduction to Social Media Marketing in about 10 Minutes Ian Hardacre
Bridging the gap between business ... and social media marketing
LinkedIn Your LinkedIn Public Profile Your #1 Task
So after LinkedIn … which one next?
We suggest that you start with Twitter #1 All your posts can be seen by your Followers (no advertising driven algorithms get in the way) #2 Very easy to get started, after all a Tweet is only 140 characters long #3 Active users do follow brands/companies, easily used for promotions or discounts #4 Hashtags available to highlight not only your services or products but your location #5 Can easily ‘talk’ to your customers and prospects
Make sure your graphics fit and that your logo (or picture) fits into the square profile picture. And worth designing a changed one like we did at the Bureau
Now the hard part • When to post
• Follow people found using hashtags in their tweets,
• Or via who they follow
• Post using hashtags especially for places
• Post regularly (but too often and NOT immediately after each other)
• Mix up your posts (text, pictures, links etc)
• And ‘talk’ to people by putting their username first
• LISTEN ! ! !
Tell everyone you are on social media especially in places where customers
are
