Wild Adventurer
Columbus is a city of high-thrill adventures; we make it easy and fun
to put a dent in your bucket list. Let your feet dangle as you fly across the Chattahoochee River on a zip line. Get wet and wild on a raft slipping through the river’s rapids. GET MOVING Walk, run, skate, or bike the Chattahoochee RiverWalk, our 22-mile linear park that hugs the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Part of an expansive local trail system called The Dragonfly, the RiverWalk provides a blend of cityscapes and untouched wildlife. Extend your journey on The Dragonfly where the RiverWalk meets the 11-mile Fall Line Trace rails-to-trails path. No bike? No problem! Bike shops in Columbus will rent you a set of wheels.

PROVIDENCE CANYON OUTDOOR RECREATION AREA The pink, orange, red and purple hues of the soil at Georgia’s “Little Grand Canyon” make a beautiful natural painting at this quiet park. A testament to the power of man’s influence on the land, massive gullies as deep as 150 feet were caused simply by poor farming practices during the 1800s. Today they make for some of the prettiest photographs in the state. The rare plumleaf
azalea grows only in this region and blooms during July and August when most azaleas have lost their color. (on leash) 8930 Canyon Rd. Lumpkin, GA 31815 229.838.6202 gastateparks.org/ProvidenceCanyon
