• Detailed design procurement took place in 2017.
• Awarded to Stantec/Associated Engineering/McElhanney
• Designed expected to be completed by the end of 2019
• Construction is currently dependent on funding
• Additional design and construction projects will be required to support this project once a construction timeline has been established.

New InfrastructureNew major transportation and infrastructure projects are generally RFP’ed in individual projects. A recent example of this is the Southeast Boundary Road which was awarded to Al-Terra Engineering in 2017.

• Separate request for proposals (RFPs) are issued for all new major transportation and infrastructure projects (Example: Southeast Boundary Road)
•Up for renewal in 2018/2019 depending on the duration of the North Telford Reconstruction.

Capital Utility Program
• This contract is up for renewal for 2018/2019 design and construction management. The RFP is expected to be posted in the Spring 2018
•This program includes any upgrade and repairs required to the City of Leduc’s storm, sanitary and water networks.
• The successful proponent will be responsible for helping the City develop a 5 year plan for infrastructure renewal based on provided condition assessments

Transportation Master Plan
• Currently underway by Castleglenn Consultants with completion targeted in 2018• Intended to create a document that will support and guide future growth decision, priorities and initiatives• Will provide valuable background information for completing and reviewing development plans and traffic impact assessments
Sanitary Master Plan
• Currently underway by Cole Engineering with completion targeted in 2018• Intended as an update to the 2013 Sanitary Master Plan
Water Master Plan
• Completion of a new Water Master Plan• Expected to begin in 2019
Storm Master Plan
• Creation of the City’s first Storm Water Master Plan• Expected to begin in 2019 or 2020 depending on initial information required
All master plans are on a 5 year update/renewal rotation.

Smart Traffic/Smart City
Feasibility Study
The City of Leduc is currently looking at the shift towards Smart Cities and as a starting point we are looking at the feasibility of different forms of smart traffic systems throughout the City and the associated benefits.
This initial study has the potential of helping the City better defined what Smart Traffic and Smart Cities will look like for the City of Leduc.
The RFP for this study is expected to be out in late Spring

Capital Region
Southwest Water
Commission
• The City of Leduc currently manages the Capital Region Southwest Water Commission.
• Currently in the process of procuring a consultant to act as the Commission Engineer for the next 2 years
• Scope includes updating the commission master plan and providing technical support for day to day operations as required
• RFP is currently out and closes on January 22, 2018
