Is Your Timeshare Problem Weighing You Down?RESALEGC MARKETING SL is acompany based in the South of GranCanaria. I was shocked tofind that my ‘investment’ wasworthless and that there really was nomarket to sell my timeshare andrecoup the large sums of money I hadinvested. I was further surprised tofind out that by paying a deposit on theday I signed my purchase contract, thecompany was actually acting illegally.Needless to say I wasn’t very happyand after meeting many otherTimeshare Owners like myself Icreated a company dedicated tohelping those in similar situations tomyself’.

On reviewing the legal aspectsinvolved we found that in October1994 the European Communitiesadopted the European Directive94/47/EC which relates directly to thepurchase of timeshare. It clearly statesthat ‘Buyers have a statutory minimumcooling off period of 10 days fromsigning the contract and that the taking

of deposits before the end of thiscooling off period is prohibited.
