2012 DENTAL CUBES;
Studio OxL designed the transformation of a 70’s housing block into a dental practice
The house originates from the 70’s and has a typical sober character consisting out of masonry and concrete. Spaces are small, floor levels low and not very representative for a neat and well-organised dental practice.
Studio-OxL designed a plan that combines architecture with functionality and organisation in order to generate a ‘corporate identity’The cubes are designed as volumes of furniture in the gray matter of the house. All functional demands are integrates in these volumes and therefor facilitate the reception, storage and workspace. Inside the volumes one can find the private spaces and these function as gates to the ‘back office’. The spaces that are situated at ground level and in-between the volumes are part of the ‘front office’. Therefor we choose to give these spaces
a more public character. Besides the practice design, Studio OxL also managed the budget, technical engineering and project management through all phases of this project
