With the environment in mind, activi- ties have to be weighed in terms of their environ- mentall implications and don’t have to revolve around the traditional camp and hike that a lot may currently associate Australian tourism with. A range of activities could be included in the set packs one may get with pre-planned environ- mental travel tours. On a zero carbon holiday, one may have to take the pros- pects of transportation to exciting and inventive heights that could add a wonder of oppertunity to their holiday Despite the obvious advantages of practicality, the use of a car may have to be rethought. Is there another way? How many people are going in the car? Is public transport a more viable option? How can I make full use of it if there’s no other choice? Aside form it’s initial production and basic upkeep, the bicy- cle is a 100% green way to travel. Not only this it’s extremely good for one’s physical health and fitness. A well fitted bicy- cle can see someone many miles and can go places even the most advance cars and motorbikes can’t get to. An ideal choice for those travelling moderate to long distances. It may seem like an obvious choice but people often forget that thousands of years ago our own two feet were all we had and all we needed. Travelling by foot proposes a vast number of advantages not only regarding health. Travelling slowly allows one to take in and experience a lot more than by faster means of transportation more commonly used. Public transport is not only cost effective, it’s also one of the most efficient forms of transportation. Travelling long distances by train is also a great way to see and experience the country you’re travelling through/around. Certain disadvantages do exist with the system in terms of reliability and range.
