According to a statement issued to KNS, while addressing a meeting of the prom- inent leaders, office bearers, and prom- inent workers of North Kashmir here today, she said the party, with a decisive mandate, will carry forward its agenda of political resolution, good gov- ernance and employment gen- eration and convert Jammu and Kashmir into a real welfare state. Mehbooba said apart from political, admin- istrative and finan- cial mess that the present coalition gov- ernment has pushed the state into the new challenges which can be addressed if the PDP, under Muf- ti Mohammad Sayeed, gets a clear man- date from the people. She said vision, of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed about the res- olution of political problems of the state, is already underway after the historic initiatives of 2003. The PDP Chief, who represents South Kashmir in Lok Sabha, said the Prime Minister- Vajpayee’s bold initiatives were possible only when a chief minister of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s political sagacity, maturity and vision was at the helm in the state. The Governor expressed satisfac- tion over the smooth conduct of this year’s Yatra, despite serious constraints arising from the heavy snowfalls in the preceding months. The Governor directed the CEO to ensure complete cleaning up of all Camp sites and to prepare a Camp and route-wise Action Plan for Ya- tra 2015, keeping in view the expe- riences gained during this year’s pilgrimage. He stressed that route- wise arrangements of all aspects of the Yatra must be worked out well in advance with particular focus on medicare, sanitation, cleanli- ness, water and power supply and other facilities and, side by side, ensuring effective protection of environment and ecology of the Yatra area. The plane was headed to the eastern city of Tabas, the IRNA and Fars news agencies said, when it crashed at 9.18 am local time, after leaving Mehrabad airport. It triggered a fireball when it smashed into the capital's Azadi neighbourhood, close to where hundreds of military families live, and only a few hundred metres (yards) from a row of shops. Iran's deputy transport minis- ter, Ahmad Majidi, said the An- tonov An-140 turboprop plane had 40 passengers, including six children, and eight crew on board, and he put the death toll at 38. A fire official initially said all on board had been killed but Fars later reported that 37 bod- ies were sent to the morgue and IRNA said nine people were hospitalised, two of them criti- cally injured. The aircraft was operated by Sepahan Airlines and a tailfin bearing the company's dolphin logo could be seen sticking out of the road as security forc- es cordoned off the crash site where firefighters had doused the flames. Black smoke billowed from the mass of burnt out twisted metal, with officials saying the plane hit a wall and trees. "The scene was terrible, with the back of the plane in the middle of the street," one eye- witness said. "But we were lucky because there was a market 500 metres (yards) away and a lot of people were there." Another eyewitness told state television: "I was on my mo- torbike and I heard something behind me. I turned round and it was a plane, so I got on to the ground because it was so close. deployed around 3,000 soldiers on the glacier where temperatures can drop to minus 60 degrees and almost 80% posts are located above 16,000 feet, with Bana post towering above the rest at 21,753 feet.Holding on to Siachen has cost the army more than 860 lives over the last 30 years, with extreme climate and terrain chiefly to blame. Guarding the glacier also costs Rs 5 crore daily.Several rounds of talks between India and Pakistan on demilitarizing the glacier have failed in the past. Successive army chiefs have warned against with-drawing from the glacier until Pakistan authenticates troop positions, as it would be a formidable task to re-claim Siachen. (KNS)

In his address to the troops at the Siachen Base Camp, the Army Chief applauded the efforts put in by the brave soldiers of the Siachen Brigade. The Army Chief will also visit forward posts of Eastern Ladakh and will review the Army’s defence prepared-ness in that sector. some quarters to squeeze the space for its residents will have to be met with maturity, wisdom, collective action and democratic assertion of our rights. Mehbooba said the credentials of the PDP, in the gov-ernment and in opposition, are impressive and any comparison of this party with NC is not only out of place, but patently unfair. She said NC has been the dominant political force in the state from last eight decades, half of which period it has been with power with huge electoral majority. Compare to that, she said, Mufti saab has spent most of his political life in opposition and struggling to establish an alternative in a unipolar political system where NC was the only dominant orbiter. “Our comparison is logical and fair only if one considers the 36 months of Mufti saab-led government with the more than 36-years during which NC enjoyed power,” she said.Mehbooba said the doors of the PDP are open for all the people who have good of the state at heart, and it was positive that professionals and non-professional people who have distinguished themselves in differ-ent fields are joining the party in large numbers in all the regions. She said the prospects of a rout in the coming elec-tions have frustrated the government and it is em-ploying all tricks to somehow survive on the political landscape. Mehbooba said the NC-led government is trying to employ strong arm methods against the offi-cials and the workers of the PDP to harass them into submission on the other hand they are making false promises, fake and funny foundation laying and rib-bon cutting ceremonies and inventing new methods of selling non-existent jobs. “They have even created a category of employees who are issued orders against unpaid vacancies,” she said and remarked that cre-ation of an unpaid category of employees could only be attributed to the genius of NC, which has used ‘aza-di’, ‘raishumari’ and ‘autonomy’ in the past with good results for itself but unpaid category of employees would certainly boomerang on them and this would be their last dirty trick to be played on innocent and gullible people. She said even for unpaid jobs, the agents of the ruling parties are collecting money from the youth.Reminding the party functionaries about the need of voter registration, Mehbooba said they should make sure that every voters gets registered, who have not registered themselves till now.Speaking on the occasion the party General Secre-tary, Mohammad Dilawar Mir, said the PDP is strong enough to take up the emerging challenges, posed by the different forces in the state, head-on, but for that the party cadres have to work hard on the ground and make a close liaison with the people. “There are forces active on ground with dangerous agenda to divide the people on the name of religion and region and their ev-ery attempt has to be defeated with firmness,” he said. Mir blamed both National Conference and Congress leadership for the mess in the state and said they have to answer for all the frauds and atrocities they have committed in the state over the years. Nizam u Din Bhat, Abdul Haq Khan, Sofi Gh Mohi U Din, Javid Hussain Baig, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Naeem Akhtar, Mohammad Yasir Reshi, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Abbas WAni, Gh Nabi Pandithpori, Raja Aijaz Ali, Nazir Ahmad Naiku, Raja Manzoor and oth-ers were also present on the ocaassion. not contest polls but will monitor work for her candi-dates and try to make them victorious.“Come what may be the results, the party candidates shall continue to put their hard efforts to reach the people especially youth and downtrodden to redress their grievance at state and central level,” she said.

the Egyptian delegation seven days ago. We have not have received any official response yet." Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said Israel will not return to talks while Palestinian mili-tants continue cross-border rocket attacks. "Israel will not engage in negotiations under fire, and will continue to act in every way to change the cur-rent reality and to bring quiet to all of its citizens," he told a cabinet meeting at the defence ministry in Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, hostilities have continued unabated since the collapse of the three-day truce on Friday with the Israeli military hitting 150 targets, killing 15 people, and Palestinian militants firing more than 100 rockets into Israel. The Israeli air force struck at least 20 targets in Gaza overnight. There was no let up in violence with a 17-year-old boy killed in an Israeli strike on central Gaza, medics said. Tensions have also been growing in the West Bank where protesters clashed with Israeli troops. A 11-year-old Palestinian boy was shot dead by Israeli troops in a refugee camp in the southern West Bank on Sunday. Over a month of bloody fighting has killed more than 2,000 Palestinians and 67 in Israel, most of them sol-diers. About 10,000 people have been injured in the conflict.

Kashmiri entrepreneur shines abroadClicks Oil & Gas business venture in CyprusPersistence and a strong belief in one’s self is the key to success: Sahil to aspiring entrepreneursSrinagar, Aug 10 (KNS): A Kashmiri youth Sahil Peer-zada back home is a mystery but coming out of all odds his fearless advances have made him an emerg-ing role model and already there are whispers down the corporate corridors that sound more like eulogies. Sahil has come a long way into the forays of real estate sector and oil and gas industry which has put him in the league of top players of entrepreneurs in the Coun-try. According to KNS His real name is Sajid Peerza-da, residents of Sopore town in North Kashmir’s Bara-mulla district. People of valley know very little about him other than that his family lived in Sopore some two decades ago. Sahil runs business of Jewelry and construction in Mumbai which clicked successfully and made him to add yet another feather to his cap and company’s illustrious operations with the new venture of Oil and Gas in Cyprus.Sahil leads Expandable Infra Pvt. Ltd, an Indian Con-sulting and Investment Company in the Real estate and energy sector, which has pledged investment in a national project. Expandable Infra has pumped in mega bucks in ‘AGR’ and the ‘Zenon Consortium’. The company has invested in the oil well rig management in partnership with AGR. Many people are satisfied with a couple of successful businesses, but Sahil Peer-zada always strives to explore new fields for business opportunities. According to this enterprising and feisty businessman the ability to spot an opportunity and imagine something where others haven’t is a pre-requisite to success in a business venture.Sahil said that Oil and Gas companies across the globe are eyeing for sensible solutions to help them tackle the present-day tasks of a global slowdown. Expand-able Consulting, offers innovative engineering solu-tions that provide unique answers to these challenges in areas of upstream and downstream consulting. “Ex-pandable Infra is also working in partnership with global players in looking at newer options for Oil and Gas exploration blocks”, says Sahil.Expandable Infra Pvt. Ltd led by Sahil has partners with Laksel Technologies, Singapore for the project of Oil & Gas under the banner of Mitas Oil & Gas limited, Cyprus, which has made them first one in the world to refine gas. Sahil Peerzada has successfully initiated and closed a contract that involves large investment with Zenon Consortium in Cyprus. Zenon has been selected by the Government of Cyprus for the redevel-opment of the port, the marina and the adjacent land into a prime Mediterranean destination for cruise passengers, leisure boats, entertainment and living. Expandable has made respectable investment in the project and is likely to offer its consulting services as well.Sahil Peerzada’s advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple yet deep, “Starting a business is not a twofold affair. You don’t have one shot at it. Remember, when Thomas Alva Edison was asked about the multiple failures in his quest to make a light bulb, he answered something like “I have not failed 700 times. I have found 700 different ways not to make a light bulb.” So,

persistence and a strong belief in one’s self is the key to success, says Sahil. Confidence or lack of confidence can be a serious issue for people who have always dreamed of starting a business of their own, this quote inspires Sahil Peerzada of focusing on his strengths and not on dwelling over other factors that could make him sluggish. This simply means you should “own who

you are,” he said.Incepted by Sahil Peerzada, Expandable Infra Pvt Ltd is a Construction and a Consulting company from India with focus on Oil and Gas, Power, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Duty Free Bonded Warehousing, etc. Expand-able has established footprints across seven countries in a short period of 2 years.
