Kinesiology Taping was developed by the Japanese chiropractor Dr Kenzo Kase in co-operation with the Japanese company Nitto Denkoin the 1970s to be used for the method of Kineisology. The main intentionwas to support bodily healing processes with a special material utilisinga particular application technique.

Kinesiology Tape is modelled on the skin’s characteristics and thus able to transmit positivesensory information to the body. The application techniques were developed through theuse of kinesiological tests, which logically gave the therapy and the material its name.The aim of the therapy is not to limit motion but rather to make physiological movement of joints and muscles possible, which in turn activates control and healing.K-Active TherapyThe holistic view of the human body with its many physical links i.e. the skin, the fasciae, the muscles, the meridians, etc. create the therapeutic basis of the Kinesiology Taping by K-Active. Anatomical knowledge, extensive sight and function findings by screening and muscle tests are indispensable to grasp the problems in our body completely. Application AreasPain, reduction of movement, joint distortions, sport injuries, arthritis, spinal problems,muscular tension, Ischialgia, problems with sacroiliac joint (articulation sacroiliaca),headache, migraine, Epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, lymph oedemas, paralysis,Polyneuropathy, problems with menstruation, urinary incontinence and others.Duration of ApplicationDue to the special characteristics of the material, the K-Active Tape guarantees anunrestricted feeling for the user within a few minutes of application. Activities of daily lifesuch as sports or leisure are not restricted but supported by the bandage. The waterproofversion allows the user to shower or bath without having to change the bandage.The main benefits of the K-Active tape can be evident within the first 3 to 5 days followingapplication.
