YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS, MAKE YOUR PITCH: OVERVIEW

• Presented by Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) in partnership with the

Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure

• Open to Ontario high school students in Grades 9 – 12

• Two-minute video describing your business idea

• Evaluated by a panel of expert judges combined with online voting

• Finalists will receive a trip to Toronto to attend a boot camp at OneEleven

and pitch live at OCE’s award-winning Discovery conference

TIMELINE

MARCH 6, 2015The submission period for all video entries closes. All entries must include a signed letter of consent and a typed transcript.

MARCH 10 – APRIL 2, 2015Submitted videos are posted to the website. To increase the number of votes, students are encouraged to promote their videos on social media.

APRIL 26 – 28, 2015Finalists will receive a trip to Toronto where they will participate in programming from April 26-28, 2015 with accommodations in downtown Toronto.

Online Public Voting (40%)

• Promote your video through any social media platform using the #makeyourpitch hashtag or by word of mouth to your peers.
