A striking white manor hose, Ynyshir Hall is set in 14 acres of glorious gardens. It’s a truly stunning setting. Queen Victoria used to be the proud owner of the retreat – which is certainly evident through the décor and gardens.

In fact, her favourite trees still stand where she planted them.

Situated near Machynlleth and Aberystwyth in Wales, the area is blessed with birds flying in from the nearby creek and the most beautiful beaches; it’s certainly no surprise that the Queen adored it here.

Owned once again by previous owners Joan and Rob Reen, the couple have truly put their stamp on it. But, of course, the influence of Her Royal Highness Queen Victoria is still very much there…

Sumptuous Accommodation Each of the nine beautiful bedrooms is effortlessly elegant and

has all those thoughtful little touches in place. Sumptuously appointed, the bedrooms are named after famous artists and the individual design of each has been inspired by the artists’ style. Guests can look forward to antique beds of a bygone age, lavish bathrooms and more.

Fine Dining Ynyshir Hall is within easy reach of the finest fresh ingredients –

all available locally. The restaurants large kitchen garden grows plenty of herbs, salads, soft fruit and baby veg. Here’s a taster of what to expect at this fine venue: starter: Butter Poached Borth Bay Lobster Tail; main: Roasted Sea Bass; and for dessert: Black Cherry Soufflé.

The Dovey estuary is worth a visit, too – it’s the only Welsh Biosphere Reserve. And, of course, during a stay here, a wander down to the delightful beach is a must.
