What makes a Heesen so distinctive? Custom
built in Holland, it is not just a matter of
style but more importantly, the contemporary
application of engineering: the architecture
of performance. Our concept has evolved over
30 years and the experience we have accrued
is unlike that of any other yacht builder in
the world. Building in aluminium to enormously
demanding tolerances, the Heesen hull-form
is unique – quite simply no other ship shape
so optimises the way a yacht moves through
water. Meticulous attention to weight reduction
results in increased levels of luxury. A Heesen
is a Heesen because we are dedicated to one
principle: the performance of luxury.
ur third aluminium 47 metre semi-displacement yacht, 4 You was completely custom-built and combines precision Heesen
engineering and build quality with interiors designed by Omega. The result: a yacht that effortlessly combines speed,
efficiency and exceptional levels of comfort. Sophisticated naval architecture, our weight reduction expertise and twin
MTU 2.720kW engines produce a top speed of 24 knots. In addition, 4 You is remarkably fuel efficient.
4,6 metre and 6,1 metre tenders are held in a transom
garage, launched and captured by our track system. The
concept does away with the need for cranes. This creates
a larger garage, greater headroom and as a result, a safer
working environment. More space on deck – even on a
swimming platform – simply means greater luxury.
Outside space is huge, with a number of different areas for sunbathing, dining, relaxing or entertaining. On the main deck aft,
weatherproof armchairs and sofas surround teak tables. Sliding semi-circular glass doors open into the main saloon to create a
large indoor/outdoor entertaining option.
t 85 square metres the sun deck measures double that of many mid-40 metre yachts and includes a circular,
air-conditioned, fully-glazed gymnasium. The Jacuzzi is shaded by an awning supported by carbon fibre retractable
pillars. For an alternative view there is additional seating and dining space on the foredeck.
The Heesen superstructure is so strong that very few pillars are needed to support it. This means incredible views whether guests
are sunbathing, dining or simply relaxing on any deck.

The spectacularly sized main saloon is made up of natural and stained walnut panelling.
An exotic and eclectic interior design includes elements of African safari styling and
Chinese sculptures. Lacquered inlaid ceilings, etched glass lights and American walnut
floorboards are part of the complexity of installation from floor to ceiling.
Interior designers, Omega, worked very closely with the owners on the classic-contemporary interior. Specific requirements for the upper
deck saloon included a Steinway grand piano, installed next to a Carrara marble and American walnut bar. The sky lounge benefits from
incredible amounts of light due to windows that extend to the full length of the saloon.
Complex pieces, custom built by
specialist craftsmen were all
installed at the shipyard. From
a specially commissioned Art
nouveau panel concealing the
television in the sky lounge,
right through to the staircase
connecting the lower, main and
upper decks, Heesen precision
is evident everywhere.

Spectacular oval windows are
just one of the many features
of this magnificent suite that
includes a green Verde patrizia
marble bathroom.
uest cabins comprise two VIp and
two twin cabins on the lower deck
all with marble ensuite bathrooms.
To minimise weight, Heesen marble
veneers are just 3mm thick – fragile
as eggshells, strong as steel.
iping, welding, cabling and all of the
mechanical elements were installed with meticulous care
and attention with any future maintenance requirements in
mind. Heesen builds in forethought.
The wheelhouse is handsomely furnished to create an efficient
working environment for the captain. 4 You has two, 16V 4000
M90 engines producing 2.720kW. Their power to weight
efficiency is an important factor in our performance advantage.

nyone looking to purchase a new yacht from Heesenshould be confident that the quality of the Company
is equal to that of the yachts. The fact that this is the case is due in no small
part to the principles of the founder. Frans Heesenfounded the Company that bears his name in 1978.
THe FUTUre FrOM THe pASTWhere most yachts were made from steel,
his yachts were to be built in aluminium. Where most yachts haddisplacement hull-forms for slow, long distance cruising, his yachtswere to use semi-displacement hulls and be performance-driven.
Heesen stands for individuality and quality in a world where theseprinciples are increasingly compromised.
A Heesen will always be hand built by craftsmen in Holland. AHeesen will always be custom-built to combine the Owner’s ideaswith our expertise. A Heesen will always be the highest denominatorof performance and luxury. A Heesen will always look like a Heesenbecause it performs like a Heesen.
Continuous investment has created one of the most modernconstruction facilities in the world. great efficiency gives ownerscustom-built yachts using pre-engineered platforms, in a time scaleand to a quality that is unsurpassed.

n 30 years we have delivered over 150 yachts. Our current range of yachts includes aluminium and steel, displacement, semi-displacement and fast displacement hullsfrom 37-65 metres and beyond.
Heesen is recognised as the world leader in aluminiumyachts and our 65 metre fast displacement project is 30 percent more efficient than any other yacht of this size.
Heesen moved into steel production in 2000 as a result ofa specific client request. Indeed 50 per cent of our sales areto existing clients, progressing through options of length, construction material and hull dynamics.
Our Oss shipbuilding complex has nine modern sheds, five dry docks, over 44.000 square metres of space and themost sophisticated construction programme imaginable:orchestrating the integration of more than four million partsper year.
In 1978 Frans had a visionary idea – today it is a companycalled Heesen.
