2) The first step in creating
an Apple ID is verifying
date of birth. It is
essential that the
parent’s date of birth is
entered at this point. This
will enable the Apple ID
to be verified. Then tap
“Next”.
3) Insert the name to be associated with
the Apple ID. Then tap “Next”.
4) Select “Use your current email
address”. This is the email address
that Apple will associate with the
Apple ID. Then tap “Next”.
5) Insert the email address to be
associated with the Apple ID. This
email address is to be the parents
email address. Then tap “Next”.

6) We strongly advise to create a
password not known by the
students - by law access to an
Apple ID is to be held only by
individuals above the age of 13.
7) Select a three security
questions by tapping on the
“Choose a question”.
8) The three answers given must
be remembered by parents. It
is not uncommon that Apple
may ask you for these answers
at some point to verify your
identity.
9) Tap “Accept” in the bottom right of the screen to
agree to the Terms and Conditions.

10) Tap “Use iCloud” . iCloud allows for
the data kept on the iPad associated
with apps to be backed up online on
Apples servers.
11) It is required that all students have a 4
digit passcode on their iPads. This 4 digit
passcode will be used by the student
when ‘unlocking’ the device out of sleep
mode. This passcode should be unique
and we recommend avoiding easy
passcodes like “1234” and the student’s
year of birth. The iPad will prompt you if
too easy of a passcode is entered. It is
very important the student remembers
this unique passcode as the passcode
effectively locks any user out of the
device if forgotten.
“This passcode should be
unique and we recommend
avoiding easy passcodes
like “1234” and the
student’s year of birth. The
iPad will prompt you if too
easy of a passcode is
entered.”

Congratulations!
At this point the iPad will be set up for use. We recommend students set some time aside to get
familiar with their iPads basic functions.
