Activity 2 TTRS Play on Times Table Rock Stars Garage mode at least once per day over the next 2 weeks. Challenge an adult in your house to have a go- can they beat your time? (I don’t think they will) Design your own Rock Star and name them add them to the last one you designed and expand your own band. Design a times table quiz for someone at home.

Activity 3 – MACHINE CHALLENGE Thinking Questions: What could this machine do? Could it transport you somewhere? Could it create something from your imagination? Tasks: Write or draw a story where this machine plays a vital role.

Activity 4 WHAT CAN YOU SEE? Literal Questions: Has it rained within the last 15 minutes? What did the man just do? What colour is the bike? Inference Questions: Why was he cycling in the rain? Why would someone take this photo? Does this man cycle a lot? What is the most possible reason for this accident?

The link above explains why people have been protesting.

This is Rosa Parks. In 1955, she was on a bus in America during a period of racial segregation. The bus quickly filled up and when a white man boarded, the driver told the African American passengers to give up their seats for him. Whilst the other black passengers obeyed, Rosa did not. The result? Rosa was arrested by the police and fined for breaking segregation laws! But Rosa refused to pay, and argued that it was the law that was wrong, not her behaviour. Art for action encourages people to stand up against racism. Our school is a really diverse community and we are lucky that we celebrate and encourage diference. Task: I would like you to create your own Art For Action poster that encourages people to understand one another, celebrate difference and discourage racism. We would love to see these and share them so please send them to us.

Activity 10 PRISON PUZZLE There are seventy-eight prisoners in a square cell block of twelve cells. There is one prisoner in one of the cells, two in another cell, three in another, four in another and so on up to twelve prisoners in one of the cells. The clever prison warder made it easy to check if the prisoners were all there by arranging them so there were twenty-five along each wall of the prison block. How did he do it?

Activity 12 MCDONALDS IS BACK McDonalds is back Design your dream meal from McDonalds. It can be based on something that already exists or it could be a brand new invention all of your own! Sketch and label all parts of your meal and remember to give it a name – perhaps the Miss Donnelly Meal? Would you like Fries with that? Create an advertising poster for your new meal! Think of a catchy slogan – for example – The New Miss Donnelly Meal – The Cleverest Meal There Is! Make your advertising poster attractive and remember you need to persuade people to buy your new product!
