BACKGROUND

• Phillip Section 9 was identified on the ACT Governments Indicative Land Release Program

• LDA first presented the Furzer Street project to the WVCC in 2011.

• 1st EDP DA lodged and public consultation undertaken May 2012.

• 2nd EDP lodged and public consultation undertaken September 2013.

• Section 3 released and sold at auction (including the requirement for replacement car parking)

• SKYPARK scheduled to open in April 2015.

FURZER STREET PRECINCT


CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

• LDA released a RFT for the civil and landscape works• Canberra Contractors are the successful tenderer• Construction commences March/April 2015• Section 9 car park will be closed to the public shortly

after the structured car park on Section 3 is operational

• Stage 1 – Intersection Upgrades• Stage 2 – Civil works associated with infrastructure

and realignment of Corinna Street• Stage 3 – Landscape and park work• Potential for some weekend and/or night work
