From the Pastor’s Heart…

As we transition to the summer months, I am reminded that many

other things will vie for our attention. The "summer slump" is a

dreaded enemy to the mission of any church. I want you to know that

we are planning some wonderful things for the upcoming months. VBS

is right around the corner! (Next week!) Summer Sunday evenings will

be transitioned to small group studies (more information will be pro-

vided). Our annual July 4th Cookout will be July 7th. In August, we

are planning to have some special community events- from concerts

to ice-cream fellowships, and even a movie night!

It's going to be an exciting summer at New Friendship! You don’t

want to miss it.

Vacation Bible School

Colossal Coaster World will challenge kids to face their fears and trust God as they zip along the roller coaster of life. Through every twist, turn, and dive kids will learn that God has not given them a spirit of fearfulness, but a spirit of power, love, and sound judgment. At the end of the week, kids will want to do it all over again!. Motto: Facing Fear! Trusting God! Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. (HCSB)

VBS begins next Sunday, June 9th! It’s going to be an exciting week. This year we are also having an Adult VBS class led by our Pastor. Don’t miss the ride of your life!
