1. Application procedure : Application for admission has to be processed 100% via Internet and there is no application for

admission inperson.

1) All recorded information shall be accurately input in Korean, and in the event of having any mistake, omission, error or other

causes inproviding informationon theapplication foradmission, theapplicant shall be responsible.

2) Select theclassificationofqualification foradmission, placeofadmission, andothers.

3)Nameandresident (foreigner) registrationnumbershall beaccurately recorded inaccordancewith the informationon the family

register. Any applicant without the resident (foreigner) registration number shall have the first six digit of date of birth(with two

digits of year. For instance if the date of birth is 24th of June, 1999, put the number of '990624' as registration number), and the

seconddigits are inputwith 1000000 formenand2000000 forwomen.

4) Theacceptedapplication foradmissionshall notbecorrectedorcancelled.

5) The personal statement requires the information on the process of growing up and educational background of the applicant,

special (extracurriculum) activities, the view on life, future ambition, motivation to apply, and other special information to display

theapplicant to the fullest.

7) In the event that the information on the application for admission is falsely provided or the attached document is insufficient, it

1)Foreignstudents requesting foradmission inKorea

①After connecting to the "2009 New (Transfer) Student Recruitment for foreign student" on the homepage

(www.wonkwang.ac.kr) of Wonkwang University, subscribe for membership on the "Page for foreign student Recruitment

Application atWonkwangUniversity", and fill in the formof application and save it on the Internet. Then after printing it out, it

has to be submitted to theOffice for International Studies alongwith other application documents (2008.09.26 (Fri)), and have

the interviewandacademicaptitude teston thedesignateddateandplace.

②The studentswith preliminary admission shall submit additional documents to Office for International Studies ofWonkwang

University by the date of submittal (2008.11.07(Fri) 17:00), and any person who failed to submit the documents by the date of

submittal shall be deemed as having no intent of applying to that it will be processed as failed on admission (the deadline

shall bestrictly enforced).

2) Foreignstudents requesting foradmission inChina

①After visiting the homepage of Wonkwang University, fill in the form for the application on the Internet. Then, the applicant

has to print it out, and submit it along with other application documents at the Office of China of Wonkwang University by

2008.09.26(Fri) (Beijing☎ 86-10-6708-1433), as well as to have the interview and academic aptitude test on the designated

dateandat theplace.

②The students with preliminary admission shall submit additional documents to Office International Studies of Wonkwang

University by the date of submittal (2008.11.07 (Fri) 17:00), and any personwho failed to submit the documents by the date of

submittal shall be deemed as having no intent of applying to the University that it will be processed as failed on admission

(thedeadlineshall bestrictly enforced).

1. Commonly required documents1) All documents required in the admission process shall be submitted in original forms, andall documents in languageother than

Any foreign student who completed the registration needs the "standard admission" for the issuance of student visa (D-2) (All

documentswritten inChinesehave toattach the translatedcopy inKorean).

1. People required to submit

1) In theevent that theadditional documentsarenot submitted to theOffice for International StudiesofWonkwangUniversity by the

date of submitting additional document after announcing the students with preliminary admission (2008.11.07 17:00), it shall be

deemedashavingno intentof applying to theUniversity and itwill beprocessedas failedonadmission.

2) In the event of cancellation or rejection of the visa issuance due to the lack of verifiable document of financial competency by the

ImmigrationAuthority,WonkwangUniversity shall not be responsible foranyconsequences.

*AnyChinesestudents residing inKoreashall not be required tosubmit the verifyingdocument to show financial capability.

3. Caution in submitting the document verifying the financial capability

1)Deposit balance statement (US$10,000 ormoredeposited continuously for onemonthor longer from thedeposit date), or proof

of transmittal orexchangeof currency inKorea (US$10,000ormore), for theapplicantor financial guarantor.

1) b. In the event of submitting the balance statement issued by any Bank in China, the front side (personal information) and back

side (matterson final depositmade)of theaccount shall besubmitted.

2) Acopyof certificateof employment for fatherormother-Attach the translated version inKorean.

3) Personal resume (Form Number [4-1] - in Korean): In the event that the year of graduation from college is differed from the

admission date at Wonkwang University, attach the information or materials proving the record on what he or she did after the

graduation and thewill to continue to study. Also, the document issuedby the school showing theopinionof it on theability or the

will of theapplicant tokeep thestudy.

4) An original copy and xeroxed copy of the family registration with the full record of entire family members (limited to the ones

issuedwithin 6months from the date of application): In the event of college student, he/she has to submit the family registration

indicated as "non-family register" on the school family registration or family registration column (Submit the family registration

with the record bywhich the applicant can be recognized as a student, such as, level of culture (student), place of school (school

name)).

→ In the event that the contents of document submitted and the contents of the family registration are different at the time of

review at the immigration office, there will be no demand for supplementary document to prevent the time consuming effort

required indocument reviewperiod, sopayattention to thecontentsof the family registrationbeforesubmission.

4) a. When not recording the information of entire family on the family registration, submit the document proofing the genuine

family relationof entire familymembers.

5)Review data of students from overseas (Korea Immigration Office Form [5-1]): Prepare the review data for students from

Registration information and scholarship

A. Admitted students shall make full payment of registration fees(tuition and admission fees) at the time of registration.

B. Scholarships shall follow the rules on scholarship of Wonkwang University.

Information for applicant and reference information

A. In the event that the admitted student submit, irrespective of intentionally or not, false information on the submitted document

detected with the fact of getting admission in illegal ways, the admission shall be withdrawn, and even for the enrolled

students, and if the illegal means were used to get the admission, the admission shall be withdrawn.

B. An admitted student shall pay the tuition during the registration period and anyone who failed to pay shall be deemed as

having no intent of applying to the University; so that he or she will be regarded as failed one on admission.

C. Even though a foreign student may complete the teaching courses while enrolling at the college of education of Wonkwang

University or other college (dept.) of Wonkwang University, he or she is not allowed to work as a faculty member in national or

public schools in Korea after graduation under the Act.

D. Foreign students have to understand that they are not allowed to take Korean bar examination or graduate law school

entrance examination after graduating from the college of law of Wonkwang University.

E. Matters not specified under this Manual shall follow the academic regulations and internal rules of Wonkwang University.

F. Any foreign student who gained the admission (admitted student) shall apply for「Korean Language aptitude Test」held by the

language institution of Wonkwang University, andmay be limited the lecture application with the following procedure.

F. 1) Any student with grade 5 or better of Korean Language aptitude test implemented by an applicable institution, such as,

Korea Education Evaluation Board and others, shall be exempted from taking the「Korean Language aptitude Test」held bythe language institution of Wonkwang University and not restricted for any lecture for credit.

F. 2)「Korean Language aptitude Test」held by the language institution of Wonkwang University is consisted of wwwwrrrriiiittttiiiinnnngggg tttteeeesssstttt ((((66660000

F. 3)「Korean Language aptitude Test」held by the language institution of Wonkwang University will be implemented for once in

a semester, before and after the opening dates of first and second semester, and students may be restricted the lecture

application for the credit depending on the test result.

G. Korean language lecture and other education matters for foreign students implemented by the language institution of

Wonkwang University shall follow the regulations of Wonkwang University.

H. In the event that the visa issuance is rejected by the Immigration Authority, the admission for the applicable applicant shall be

withdrawn at the same time of rejection.
