With this month of October, we will be starting a new term in the Women’s League, full of great activities, programs and events. We will have a variety of programs with inspiring speakers and topics of interest to you all. We are also planning exciting trips and mini meetings. I seize this opportunity to thank our active board members for their support and energy. In retrospect, we had a very successful 201718 year term. Our activities proved to be both interesting and instructive in many ways. In addition, many friendships were made and more acquaintances have developed. This is in line with the essence and the true spirit of the Women’s League. As you all know, the purpose of the Women’s League is to promote a broad acquaintance, to socialize, learn and support one another and establish social network. Our end of year party on May 14 th on the lawn of Marquand House was a huge success. It included Russian folkloric dancing with very talented young dancers performing. It was an afternoon to remember and the audience appreciated the show! This is also in line with the true spirit of the Women’s League. As you know, the Women’s League emphasizes the importance of international friendship which gives us an opportunity to develop a mutual understanding of our different cultures. I am sure that we will have a successful year with the support, cooperation and the help of the Executive Board members, and the sincere assistance of all its members.
