- 1st guy back cannon stand under the rim. Can't take the chargeif you are standing under the hoop- Shade toward the ball- Do not give up the lay-up
- 2nd guy back needs to engage the ball- Make him give the ball up to somoene else

Engage
- X1 engages the ball to make him give it up- X1 needs to drop when the ball is in the air- X2 takes the first pass

- If the ball is passed ahead before X1 can engage the ball, X1takes the pass

- 3rd man down needs to come to ball side guard * Why? To many times in transition offense, the ball gets kickedto the wing and then gets reversed back to the point. A lot of thetime, the reversal pass is so robotic, the wing passer does noteven look to see if anyone is coming in defensive transition andyou can intercept that pass.
