1 UNIVERSITY OF ZIMBABWE N O T I C E T O U Z S T U D E N T S 2015 WINTER SCHOOL EDITION The University of Zimbabwe is running the 2015 Winter School programme consisting of seven (7) weeks of study. This facility is aimed at optimising use of the study time to enable students to complete studies within the stipulated period. A student can register up to a maximum of three (3) courses. Eligibility to register: Incoming students i.e. those with offer letters to register in August 2015 are welcome to apply for foundation courses on offer. This is also an opportunity for returning students to clear any outstanding courses or register for higher level courses. Students can choose courses to strengthen and broaden their academic profiles. Application Procedure: Download the Winter School Application form on the UZ website: www.uz.ac.zw and submit to the Admissions Office by12 June 2015. Forms are also available at UZ Admissions Office. Notification: Successful candidates will be advised by e-mail and names will also be listed on the UZ website. Period: 22 June 2015 to 7 August 2015 Registration Dates : 22 – 23 June 2015 Tuition Humanities : $100 per course plus $20 registration fee Natural Sciences : $120 per course plus $20 registration fee Life Sciences : $100 for Communication Skills course plus $20 registration fee Accommodation: Accommodation is available at $200 full board per room for the seven weeks.
