Transcript of Winfield Gate Brochure
Once rural countryside and forest, London’s famed Regent’s Park was developed
in the 1800s to accommodate a series of palatial,
gated villas. In the early 1930s, as Houston’s River
Oaks and Avalon Place neighborhoods rose from
former farmland, American heiress Barbara Hutton
selected the pristine Regent’s Park location to begin
construction of Winfield House. The resulting,
Georgian-style mansion, which was completed in 1937,
was later gifted to the U.S. government and since 1955
has served as the official residence of the American
Ambassador to the Court of St. James’s.
Echoing the stately lines of Winfield House, the residences
at Winfield Gate have been named for the American Ambassadors who have
made an important impact on the subsequent preservation and enhancement
of the landmark property. Ten, distinctive floorplans, which can be further
customized by the owner, feature up to 6,500 square feet and amenities such as
elevators, three-car garages, spiral staircases, libraries, wine vaults, outdoor
kitchens and rooftop terraces with potting sheds.
The architecture, location
and prestige of River Oaks. The
manicured grounds, low maintenance
and security of the Huntingdon. The
gracious, patio home lifestyle of Eaton
Square. Until now, no Intown Houston
address has offered the best of all
worlds to those seeking the ultimate,
lock and go residence.
Nestled between River Oaks and Avalon
Place, just off the corner of Kirby and
San Felipe, Winfield Gate does just that.
A quietly assembled parcel of land now
provides the city’s most unique, urban
trophy site for 21 lucky homeowners.
Surrounding a lush, central courtyard and
soon surrounded by a privacy wall with
gated entry, each richly appointed property
has been designed with significant indoor
and outdoor spaces, premium materials and
every amenity in mind, while diminishing the
burden of overseeing monthly operations.
Thoughtful deed restrictions insure a
pristine environment with an HOA that
will manage
responsibilities
ranging from street front landscaping care
to exterior window cleaning, with a focus on
low monthly operating costs. Freedom from all
exterior maintenance including paint, roof and
window cleaning. Rooftop terraces with potting
sheds, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens and views
over River Oaks and towards downtown. The
attention to detail and high finish level worthy
of an Ambassador.
