Just make a tea m of 8-10 peo ple or sign u p as an ind ividual What? A Wiffle Ball Tournament When? Saturday October 5th with games starting at 10 am Where? Wall Aquatic fields. Why? This event i s put on in o rder to gai n awarene ss for the Jenn ifer Wilson Scholarship Fund. This is an athletic scholarship in honor of Jennifer Wilson, the daughter of two NAU alumnae who was abducted and murdered in 1988. This schola rship allows NAU and the Flagstaff community to remember and honor her by giving a scholarship to a student in the name of someone who never got the chance. What better way to fundraise for this great scholarship fund than by playing some Wiffle Ball under the beautiful Flagstaff sun. Cost? Entry fee is $30 for the entire team, or $5 for an individual The Game - This is the same game tha t you have g rown up playing yo ur entire ch ildhoo d. The basics: • Played on a smaller baseball diamond with 3 bases, and a home plate. • 6 players max will be fielders (including pitcher), whereas all team members will bat. • Only 2 outs. Outs can be made by o Getting 3 strikes o Having your hit ball caught in the air o Having the ball reach first base before you do • Hit by pitch is a reset of the count • Each game will be 6 innings long, or 45 minutes. Whichever comes first * All games will be self-officiated; therefore everyone is expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship. Any disagreements will be solved by field marshal who will be circulating the games. Their rule is final . Tournament – • The exact f ormat of the tournament will be determined once amount of teams is finalized. This will be announced at the captains meeting. However, all teams will be guaranteed at least 3 games to play. • Winners of the tournament will receive Championship T-shirts. Shirts will also be for sale day of event. • Mandatory Captains meeting on WENDSDAY October 2nd at 8pm in the Wilson Lobby to discuss rules. If you sign up
