What is Plagiarism?
• Taking someone else’s work, and using it as your own without acknowledging the source
• Plagiarism is intellectual dishonesty

• A quotation uses exactly the same words as in the original, and puts them in quotation marks
• Student work should not use too many direct quotations

• Changing some words or punctuation, leaving out other words or phrases, but keeping much of the sentence structure and verbal content of the original.
• Paraphrasing without acknowledging is plagiarism

• Detaiks should be recorded immediately
