While you are self-isolating at home please have a go at the following fun activities. These
activities will help support your child and ensure that they are accessing the KS1 national
curriculum and continuing their learning journey. Please bring in any evidence when you return to
school so that we can share this with your child.

We are going to learn some of the rules for turning verbs into the past tense. Each
day we will look at and practise applying one of the rules.

document? You will need to think carefully about the 5 main parts of the story. Your
opening will introduce the character and where they are. Your build up will take your
character on a journey and meet 2 other African animals. In your problem something
will happen to your animal. You can watch more Tinga Tinga Tales to get some ideas. In
your resolution another animal will help resolve the problem. In the ending there will
be a happy ending with the characters all getting together.

This term we are learning about multiplication. Can you practise counting in multiples

photographs at home? What device will you use? Don’t forget the key photography
skills of framing the subject of your photo well, think about the lighting, holding the

Now we are going to look at how we write verbs in the present tense using the suffix
‘ing’. Vowels and consonants are:
Long vowel sounds are made up by more than 1 letter e.g. ai, ee, igh however short
vowel sounds are made up by the letters a, e, i etc.
